FREE West African Drum/Dance Workshop

West African Drum and Dance classes are coming to Learn To Burn School of Music! Come enjoy a FREE workshop of Ghanaian drumming and dancing. The workshop is open to anyone and everyone! No need to bring your own instrument, we have plenty!

About this music: The Ewe and Dagomba Tribes of Ghana, West Africa use music to celebrate special occasions, bring communities together, and tell stories about their Tribes' histories. They use call-and-response throughout the music, rhythmic signals from the lead drummer that dictate to the rest of the ensemble when to start, stop, or change rhythms and dance movements.

Anybody who attends the workshop and registers for the 6-week course the same night gets $25 off!

First course starts August 3rd
Wednesdays 5:45 - 6:15pm; Ages 8-14; $100
